sony ericcson xperia mini pro
I wanna purchase mini pro bt m facin a problm dat in my city d dealer is sayin its price to b rs.13,500 bt net says its min price to b arnd 11000... em super confused abt its price... can ny1 help me out???

Dont know abt the current pricing...maybe u are confusing between mini and mini pro.
Reason:
low res screen,outdated h/w, outdated os,no s/w support from sony, small screen, non-removable battery(in the mini only)
I say drop the idea to get either. For your budget LG optimus one is the best buy. If u want a qwerty android phone check the new samsung galaxy pro. Maybe a lil over ur budget but wud be 10times better

best way to waste money. don't buy any SE Xperia mini phone or even the Xperia X8. if you want to put your cash for some good use, get a LG Optimus One. at least you won't complain about it later to yourself, forget others.

Are you sure you want to buy this now? Its so old. Sure sony has promised gingerbread on it but im not sure if the new OS will not choke this humble gadget.
get a new phone as suggested by people above.
On a lighter note i have seen people quite happy with their own xperia mini handsets.

which one? It says Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro @9999/-. I have no idea about X10 pro. This is new to me. We are definitely talking about different models. This ones on OS 1.6 :C_perplex:

well thnx evry1 for ur replies.... I got d handset in 12,700 nd em happie wid it....
guys d model is xperia x10 mini pro nd on sum sites d prices r given as low as 10k bt dey r wrng ones...nd its an android 2.1 ..
@guru_urug ,@sam .... i nly wanted to go in sony ericsson ,, no particular reasons though... nd in ericsson i found dis handset d bst one for me... though thnx 4 ur advice... nd sam i want a gud camera in my handset... optimus offers a 3mp w/o flash camera so it isnt for me....!!
@sarath... yup i was sure vile selectin dis model... !!
@sujoyp.... ummm... gr8 handset for sure bt it wont b in my budget em sure... it'll cost min of 16k ....

^^ W8 is a 2.1 android with a 3" screen & some 128Mb ram (4 times less than Optimus One). slow processor just adds to its list of problems. and it'll certainly cost 12-13k. bad buy anyday.
