hi guys..want to buy phone for my sis..saw many phones under that budget..i have 5230..so don't want want to suggest this phone which is totally slow..less ram, less internal memory..and traditional symbian os..

Thinking of Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570..saw the Review..and totally impressed with 2.2 froyo..is it worth for 9k?? And don't know the market availability in india..so please suggest..thanks

@atherq, naah..she even don't know the word "smartphone"..actually m inclined towards enthusiasm.. once she got this phone, after 2 weeks, she will used to it..that's what i think..she will definitely try to explore new features..

@rajeev, my priority is not brand but the OS and features..

Any other phone which can beat galaxy mini in that budget??

Since you live in Mumbai. I suggest you to try your luck.

Try hunting for a Optimus One P500. Superb phone.
Froyo+3 mp camera+ Wi-fi tethring capability+600 mhz proccy

As I said, if you get lucky enough you will find it for around Rs.8700. In my city, a LG showroom they quote 11.5k. But Mumbai you should find it around 8.5k easily

@bhushan, ask you sis if she wants good battery backup. cause whatever Android mobile you pick, under heavy use won't last more than 24hrs.

Its eclair not froyo. Its touch interface is not upto the mark. Wi-fi n is missing

But, yeah has loads of features.
