Help! recovering contacts from Nokia 5130

Guys, My sisters Nokia 5130 was getting hanged within 30-40 seconds after booting. As she has more than 5000 messgaes in her inbox, I thought that may be the cause of the problem, so I reset the phone to factory defaults.

Which solved the issue, but all the contacts from the phone has been deleted. Now, is there any way to recover the deleted contacts. Any help on this would be highly appreciated.

^^ Factory reset does not delete contacts in S40 as far as I know. Try changing the default memory settings in contact menu.

I don't think theres a way unless you back up'ed the contacts or have a separate copy in the memory card. Sorry.

If she has 5000 SMS's then a phone like that is bound to hang....

You should have emptied the inbox rather than "Factory resetting:" of a phone..

WEll, contacts might be saved in SIM card

Yes, you are right it only changed the memory location to phone. You saved me.
