dell xcd35 is it worth ?

I was thinking of buying mobile with good resolution screen for watching videos as main purpose. Is it worth 12.5k ? How much battery backup ? what resolution video it plays ? what are the drawbacks? please suggest.

For 12.5k, the phone is decent. Good resolution screen.

But average processor and very less RAM can be a deal breaker. Add to it Android 2.1 and its definitely not my first choice.

poor battery life. less ram. slow processor. no official Froyo or Gingerbread. buttons at very bottom of set mayn't be comfortable for everyone. & no flash (camera or browser). need bigger screen? get Ace or wait for ideos X5 from Huawei.

it has 256mb ram, and dell is selling it with 2.2 version now. and considering processor, lg p500(512mb ram) also has same one , x8(175mb ram) also , motorola xt5(256mb ram) also. currect me if im wrong.

meanwhile i can get moto defy for 16k from letsbuy.com. how about this phone.

Defy is a good phone...very rugged. If you can get it for 16k, its a good deal.

If you can extend your budget, forget about XCD35 and get this one
But be prepared to ROOT it, for 2.2 android (and of course for better performance).
