Guys... just tell me one thing.

my current e66 firmware is 410 where i i have found that new firmware 500.x.x has been already in the market. as my e66 is RM-343 (16), can i flash my device with new firmware? i have downloaded new firmware [there are few types like US, EURO, AP etc]. just confirming cuz last time during online update thru nokia my device got locked and i was rushing to unlock it.

and wat typ it is .. BB5 or something else

Do not try manual firmware updating. You may brick your phone.

Instead, connect your phone to the Nokia Software Updater & let it check for updates & install them.

last time phone got locked while using Nokia SU only. Nokia PD costs 500 bucks only for updating which supposed to be free of cost.

in my opinion
forget about Nokia Priority Dealer
go to their service centre they should provide you free of cost or pauldmps has best solution check with Nokia software update
as most of the firmware release are region specific
