Urgent: Samsung Galaxy 3 or LG Optimus One?

I have done so much research about these two phones over the past two weeks, and the deadline to my purchase date is a week away.

I was/am leaning towards the O1, but now the G3 seems to be better at Multimedia, but yet the O1 is better when it comes to games, and I worry about compatible apps on the G3 because of the resolution.

Are the colours on the O1 really that bad in comparison to the G3? And about video playback, I heard that the O1 can't play SD videos: is this true?

Thanks a lot people, I really need help picking a phone, and these two are the finalists, but picking a winner seems near impossible.

According to GSMArena, the Galaxy Ace has poor codec support, and the video recording is abysmal.

forget about codec support. just install rock player and you have what you need. for video recording, none of the sub 20k droids have a good video recording except Defy but that phone runs outdated OS and there is no hope for updates.

But between the G3 and O1, which one is better? Based on what I wrote in my first post. As far as I understand, the G3 is better for multimedia playback, but lacks when it comes to 3d games...

O1 is better. for multimedia playback, all you need to do is install necessary apps and it gives better m/m. after all watching videos on a shoddy display is not worth even if it provides a dozen quality codecs which is the problem with Galaxy 3.

I'm a very picky person, especially when it comes to pretty expensive things such as mobile phones. I'll also admit I follow popular brands, and Samsung sounds a lot better than LG. I don't know what, but something about the O1 puts me off, even though it seems superior.

LG Optimus One is a lot better that Galaxy 3. Don't fall for the "brand" thing... O1 is excellent. It has been launched in the US as LG Optimus T.

our ancestors were even more picky, so much picky that they picked nothing but nokia for a phone and look where nokia is. they used to think about samsung is low quality maker and look where samsung is. you asked which is better. we picked one that is better. whether you want to go after a brand name that sounds better or go for a phone that is better, its your choice.
