Airtel GPRS - Download ok, upload not working :( Please Help
.
I am testin Airtel GPRS , everything seems ok , speed is not bad ( 40kbps and above ) , messenger , email client everything works nice . But I am facin a problem
I can't upload files ( like filesize > 3kb ) , I mean no FTP , no email sending with attchments usin email client (plain text works , with very small attachment also works ) , no email with attachment usin web interface , even speed test sites shows only download speeds ( upload tests r not working properly ) etc . No problems on download .
I asked the Airtel people , but not much use
Anyone faced similar problems ?
Thanks in advance
Phone usin - Nokia 3230
OS in PC - Win 2K

It is k , I mean kbps , comes to 5 to 7 KBps
I tried checking modem config and all but didn't see any restrictions on file size for upload . Any idea where I need to change settings for this ?

yes,for a month am in chandigarh (for my vacations) and i log onto the net using airtel mobile office gprs connection. it connects at 115kbps (which is the modem to computer connection irrespective of whether i use usb cable or bluetooth as both are virually serial port mapped connections) and i get a download speed of about 6 KBps...i've never faced uploading problems.
i regularly attach files but never faced this problem. haf u configured ur firewall properly? used a different browser? used ur connection on a different computer wid a diff OS? try it and get back.

Place to Place and Time to Time..
It must hv to do something wid congestion...thats why it varies...like these days thru IDM..i get 28-30kbps from 2-7AM...
then it starts gettin down...to say 22 then say 18 ...and normally its 15-17
