Mobile with feature to listen to audiobooks

finally buying my first mobile

I need only one feature in my mobile - the ability to listen to audio books. For audio books the music player feature needs this feature - that the player remembers where the last file finished playing , and upon resuming , it plays from that point in the file . I hope I was clear.

Nokia 2690 , it meets the other requirements, but I am not sure about whether it can do audiobooks.

I was thinking maybe I should go for a 1k phone and a 2-2.5k mp3 player(with screen) for listening to audio books. how does that sound ? any decent mp3 player in that range ?
