Nokia 5530 Xpress Music - it should come under 10k and supports a wide range of apps

Samsung Wave 575: around 9k. Bada OS, 3G, Wi-FI, 3.2mp camera, 3.2" display (this used to be at 12k price point earlier but looks like there was a price cut)
SE Hazel: 10k, UIQ, 3G, Wi-Fi, 5mp camera, 2.6" display (no touch)

There isn't any harm in Investing in San Fransisco. Don't buy it from India, Import it directly from UK so you'll directly get it from Orange.

GSMArena lists the price of XCD35 about 280 Euro i.e. 17.5k. Are you sure it is available in India for less than 10k ?

In UK you get the Orange version of XCD35 called San Fransisco locked to the Orange network.

VarDOS is mentioning about that, which u might be able to get it shipped here or get from somebody you know from there for abt 9k..

It's around 8-8.5k (depends on individuals bargaining skill ).
Out of these two 575 is better cuz of - bada (against samsung proprietary OS), 3.2" screen (ag. 3", but thanks to same resolution smaller screen may look better) and resale value (its new in market).

Yup, I'm speaking about the Orange version of XCD 35 - its prepay in UK so you get it cheaper and can easily imported to India w/o custom duties and warranty and also no contract break

worth it. provided you have never used a high resolution screen based mobile. or a mobile that used its good screen properly.

Galaxy 5's time is up i suppose. it may well be discontinued already.

Holy CoW ! It's Android Phone and I think it will be better than BADA OS phones but the catch is it does not supports Adobe Flash ( though I personally think it's not a big deal and samsung may do something about this later ) and the screen resolution is a bit little for android OS and for that large screen.

Since any OS will do for OP galaxy mini isn't a good choice.

its actually Galaxy5 + Zoom = Galaxy Mini (or pop). yes, the camera is bumped to 3.2Mp but without a flash, its quality will be more or less the same.

also both mobiles kind of use the same resolution screen: 240X320 & 240X400.

also today played angry birds on friends G5. the graphics was really bad. details level was low & kind of blurred & pixelated.

1st one is G Mini & 2nd one is Wave. really curious to know how pics & text will appear (specially websites, not sms) in that low resolution screen. but if you look at the price (~8.5k), its a bearable compromise, maybe.
