android PC suit capabilities?

hey all !
i am presently using symbian S60 device [nokia 5233]. the only thing i love about it the PC suit which allows me to send/read msgs right on the laptop after connecting via blue-tooth.

i am planning to shift to android. all i want to know is does android phones have PC suit which allow me to do the same ? i.e. handling messages right from the laptop itself ?

There is no particular PC-suite for Android as such. Although a few third party pc suites have popped up recently, I haven't tried them, so can't comment on that.

If you are worried about sending messages from Laptop via Phone, then there are numerous apps to take care of that

One such app is "SMS Control Center"

you can use my phone explorer software with android phone its awesome you can browse phone, sd card , send receive messages , and take back up of contacts also

i use some sms backup and restore software to take backup in xml format

Of-course you can, there are apps which export your contacts and sms into required formats.

For contacts, since everything is in sync with Gmail, you can import them from gmail itself, no need of any app.
