Default Nokia C5 VS Nokia 5230

Nokia C5 VS Nokia 5230

The only place i go in for 5230 is because of its screen. Please let me know the best between the 2. I need mainly for GPRS browsing and Listening to music.

Nokia 5230

* ARM 11 434 MHz CPU, 128MB RAM memory
* Built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS support; Ovi maps

Main disadvantages:
* Display has poor sunlight legibility
* 3rd party software is still somewhat limited
* Doesn't charge off its microUSB port
* No TV-out functionality
* No DivX/XviD video support out of the box
* Poor loudspeaker volume

C5 i think --
moreover even you have given around more than 5 disadvantage in 5230 case..
and a T9 keypad phone will always have small screen if u'll compare it with touchscreen one..

Both the phones run the same OS. Hence, the software related disadvantages would be the same in both.

I'd recommend the 5230 as overall better than the C5.

Apart from Speaking in phone

I mainly use the mobile for
1. Listening to songs (i think 5230 is not Xpress music. I heard that we can add apps to increase the equalizers and play songs with 3rd party player where i can get good output)
2. Browsing to Gmail and Face book - may be maximum 1 hour per day.
3. Using Symbian apps
4. Camera occasionally.

Aspiration on 3G in these mobiles- High speed browsing at an affordable cost. Also to speak on video calls with your loved ones(so secondary camera may be useful(.. But i dont know what cost they will charge for this services initially.

My next mobile will be around 15 months from now or even earlier based on demand. So this phone will be used for that period. It will be a better smart phone around 15K budget.

C5 falls short only in screen size department - 3.2" vs 2.2". There is one inch screen increment in 5230.
But feature wise C5 is way ahead of 5230
Faster 600MHz proccy
HSDPA 10.2mbps
3.2MP camera with flash
Front cam for video calls

Moreover 5230 touchscreen isnt impressive.

So I think C5 will be a better choice.... My budget of 15K will be some 6 months or later based on my 2nd phone requirement may be for official (E5 or so) and i can use this one for personal (C5 - for 3G Video calls)
