Software development for Android

Actually I have this final year project in Diploma(comps).
I have decided to make a software related to Mobile(something for Android)
So can you tell me which software are Android mobile users dearly waiting for or want to have for free.
I will try to make it and give my best.
Can you suggest me some software for Android phones
For example, is Word doc editor already available for Android?

There are plenty of stuff that can be done on android. Many apps are already available on the android market and many are still required.

It's not easy to see what not available and try to make it unless you have a phone and you dont find an app to do exactly what you want...

If you have any idea on your own, google, search on appbrain and browse a few android forums to see if such an app is already available. But unless you have a set of ideas, it will be difficult for you..

I dont know how familiar you are with app development on android. How much of a complex app you can do depends on your knowledge.
