Nokia N8 confusion

Hello all,

there is my frd in America . He asked me what u want from america, so i decided to Bring Nokia N8

i m a Nokia Fan.....

I Have some questions in My mind.

Is Nokia N8 launhed In usa market?
My frd tells That it is available here in 400 $, But as I head No Formal Launch From Nokia for Nokia N8, I think that Phone which He is telling abt is Either fake or Just Chinese Model (Grey market)

Should I tell him to get one for Me beacuse when it will Lauch in India i bet it will Be in range of 25k+ rs

And My budget is Just >20k

Is really Nokia N8 release in Usa ?
Should i tell him to By

Will there be any Locking Issue Like Network issue?

Nokia N8 is NOT yet released anywhere in the world. He may have confused it for X6 or some other model (maybe N900).

exactly...completely agree with desiibond. It is not yet launched anywhere. And do not worry unlike other manufacturers Nokia will not make any delay in launching its mobiles in India because they have the largest number of patrons in this country

All of you guys are right. The N8 has not been launched anywhere, so u'll hav 2 wait in order to take pics from that massive 12 MP camera. Rumours are that, it might get launched along with the C6 in the first week of Sep, but no one knows, when nokia is planning to actually flood the markets with the "Entry Level Digi Cam killer" - Those pics clicked from N8 were really awesome ....... Regarding the price, it is rumoured to be somewhere around 370 Euros, i.e. about 22.5 K. So, keep waiting.........

and I yesteday Saw a Mazine Named MyMobile , they quted That Nokia N8 will be at aproox 35000 LOLZ

I can Beleive how can they Say 35000 , if they have sayed Abt 25-30k i agreed but 35k

Guys dont worry about that ancient ARM11 processor in N8 as its being assisted by broadcom BCM2727 gpu. Though its pity that N8 does not have ARM cortex A8 but its doing fine with the current hardware. Let it release first and we can experience first hand how good it is while heavy multitasking. Price is to be around 24-25k max

Hey Nokia N8 is going to release in India soon. I just saw a 'make my apps' contest on nokia website. You need to send an idea for an app and you might win a nokia N8, and shortlisted your idea will be released as an app on the ovi store.

nokia is having a lots of competitions and giving away N8 as prize...this doesn't mean it is going to be released in India soon...it will come when it is time.
