Re: Photographer camera plzz help
Skip the Sony H20 and extend your budget a bit and go for Panasonic Lumix FZ-35. LUMIX DMC-FZ35 | Digital Camera | Digital AV | Products & Solutions | Panasonic Malaysia
A superb UltraZoom Camera with loads of manual settings, completely worth the extra you spend over H20

Re: Photographer camera plzz help
You can get FZ35 for 15K in grey market , bargain more and you may get it within your budget
It is the best UltraZoom Camera within 25K. You won't change camera as fast as you change your mobile. So think before you make your final decision

Re: Photographer camera plzz help
Get the FZ35 as suggested or stay with Canon SX120 IS. If you can make do without MANUAL controls then have a look at Nikon L110.

Re: Photographer camera plzz help
your these two lines are contradicting each other
i shoot lotta landscaping
so i need as much of zoom as possible
landscape are shot with wide angle not with zoom, good indoor shots needs high ISO without noise (impossible to find in PS) or use light box or not on camera externalflash (very few will let you connect external flash)
most high zoom P&S employ high ISO at there telephoto end (maximum zoom) as the lens is slow (narrow aperture) and construction is compromised.
i would suggest you to rethink on your requirements as in your price range you will not get a good ultrazoom, also most sub 18K ultrazooms don't go wide enough for landscapes or have fast lens at tele end.
you can also consider canon powershot sx120 IS, canon camera's can run chdk ( http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK) to add new functions to your camera as you graduate into photography

Re: Photographer camera plzz help
Actually AA size batteries are more preferable than battery packs. You can get a charger & get 2-3 sets instead of a single spare pack which will cost you more. Again if you run out of spares, AA can be got from almost anywhere.

I have Alkaline rechargeable for my old cam...the alkaline cells were more powerful but charging them takes almost 10hrs..
The charger + 2 Alkaline cell costs nearly Rs.700-800
And if u get a better and faster charger u will spend 1k+ on charger alone
All these adds to the budget

You're right but its just a one time investment. I've 4*2700mah alkaline batteries which give enough power to shoot for 3-4 days with moderate flash use. if without flash they can go on & on for around a week or above.

great...on an average how many pics do u get in one charge...
and how much did u invest in charger+4*2700mah cell
Positive of Lithium Ion is it charges quickly and u can also keep a spare one
Anyways Nikon L110 seems good...azzu we r waiting for ur purchase

Re: Photographer camera plzz help
Never counted but as I said a set lasts me for 2-3 days of heavy shooting. I got Sony charger with 4 AA batteries(2500mah) for Rs.1,100 two years ago & now got two pairs i.e four Maxell 2700mah Alkalines for Rs.250 each pair.
Yeah, azeem post some pics & a brief review would be great too.
