Unlimited GPRS/EDGE in Delhi / UP(west)

Aircel (Rs 98 pm unlimited) speeds are really low in Ghaziabad. Does any other service provider offer unlimited usage at reasonable speeds here?

Also is there an app to check if EDGE is available for my network in my area?

i am in meerut (just 40-50kms frm GZB)and i got fed up of this aircel 98Rs plan, my data transfer for one month was just 4MB coz the speeds are pathetic, so i use airtel 89Rs plan which gives 100MB data for daytime use and 2GB during 12-8am which is very good if you are looking for something cheap, speeds are good too so way too much value for money if u compare it with aircel, unlimited plan of airtel is 450Rs per month which is vfm only if u download all time , i used that plan for more than one year and downloaded around 15GBs evry month, now i have free 2.5mbps unlimited college wifi so mobile internet is just for use when i will be away from college premises.

can I use symtorrent with Airtel Mobile office 450 unlimited plan?

ofcourse you can use symtorrent to download torrents in the unlimited plans and even you can use it with limited plans also but make sure that it does not exceed limits.
