Intel Atom based lappy
I need a cheap laptop for my final year project work. So I am asking that will atom based laptops would be able to run Netbeans or eclipse with oracle server and Visual studio with SQL server 2008 ?? If not please suggest a suitable laptop under 30K.

Please guys.. suggest something!! If the atom based proccey unable to run the applications then please suggest other laptops costing less than 30K

1) Dell Inspiron Mini 12 is a good model and it comes with 12" display and has Atom.
2) Acer Aspire One is another good model and a 10.1" display+Atom entry level price is some 15k.

better get atleast acer 5738 for 35k.
atom is too simple to run netbeans, sql server and VS

atom for VS, impossible, yes inspiron with 3-4gb ram would be good, however 2 can run, I thing cpu is c2d t6600.

^^ Its with Pentium T4300 , 2 GB ram... I used VS with 2 GB ram on my desktop it ran perfectly... Also suggest other brands how abt acer, hp?? though i heard service related problem in hp laptops

in that budget inspiron is best, or acer 5536 if available, with linux below 29k,or 5542 about 32k,or 5738z -29k, however these are without discreet gfx.
