Question N86 - is it any good?

First of all, I want to thank you all for helping me out two years ago in choosing Nokia 5700. The scene has really changed a lot since then, with touch screen phones coming in.

So here's the deal- I want to get a new smartphone (budget 18-22k) and I can't decide. N86 looks good. Touchscreen is not a must-have criteria for me. What's ur suggestion?

Thanks in advance.

^ but wouldnt that come with a contract ?

reg n86, its a fantastic handset, no doubt... but do look at samsung Jet, lg arena among others.. personally, i wud go for the n96 .. don ask me why ... i used it for a week and simply loved it ...

also try the 5800xm ... decent handset ... just one elusive firmware update away from kinetic scrolling and a better homescreen ... and its a lot cheaper than anything mentioned above

If u want specifically smartphone then better go for n86 only...
coz lg arena and jet are not smartphones
and HTC Tatoo got very poor rating in Phonearena.com review

Well, seems Firmware V40.001 has been spotted for 5800. So I guess it's N86 vs 5800 now

Thank you All. Bought one today.
Right now Alpha mumbai is selling this for 14.5k. The Sennheiser headphone (worth 2.2k) comes free with it. No TV out though.
