I think that Karbonn mobiles have enough java support to run Opera mini and a few other apps. One of the models I have seen costs around 3.5K and has a decent screen
pretty large too. Camera is poor, Dual sim works well.

You can use the software provided by samsung over CD's to install the java softwares or they can be installed directly over the net using GPRS, EDGE or 3G.

Now i have sony ericsson W700i. i just copy jar files to memory card and simple to install just a press of button.

Might be because they are connected to two networks at the same time. But anyways a very few are concerned about the radiation. It is even said that a phone emits 1000 times the normal radiation when the battery is low.One way to counter the radiation would be to use a bluetooth or wired headset while taking calls. Keeping the phone in a thick pouch leaving a gap of around 1cm between body & phone is also said to help. And as always phones from reputed brands like Nokia, Sony Ericsson & Samsung confirm with the radiation standards than those cheap ones like Micromax, Chinese etc.

^samsung has lots of problem regarding java. u can instal java applets ONLY thru internet. n moreover, samsung has a maximum JAVA file size limitation of 1 MB: dat means any java app size >1 MB wont get installd.
so, stay away frm samsung.

the Radiation problem is too Lame reason for not buying a dual sim Mobile
If u consider the 3G signals emit much radiation than 2g signals but who cares in the Practical word it Doesn't matter much (in my opinion )
