N97 v2.0 firmware.. your opinion?

I want to upgrade my phone but need some review about this update.... pls help???

Here are the changes that have been noticed:

• Nokia start-up screen has been enhanced with a “Connecting People” slogan below the Nokia logo.
• The phone has lesser memory after start-up but it seems to utilise the memory very well and very little lags and crashes are present.
• The dial-pad on the home-screen now has letters embedded too.
• Kinetic Scrolling throughout the phone interface including applications.
• Updated web browser.

Apart from the main points mentioned above, the firmware update should also bring in various other bug fixes and stability improvements.

how to update it???
i used *#0000# command but its showing there is no update is available. how to update it plz describe

^ if it says no update available, there is nothing you can do.

Some other changes include like: performance improvement, bug fixes and stability. i will waiting this to be released soon via Nokia Software Updater.

Firmware v20 will start to roll out next week, with a host of pre-installed apps, new widgets, kinetic scrolling, long press for alternative characters, more free Phone Memory, additional album art and info in the music player and other performance enhancement and bug fixes.

FOR ALL THOSE WANTING TO UPDATE TO V2.0 ON THE N97

Hi Guys, the v2.0 firmware is now officially available through Nokia Software Updater (NSU)

1. Go to PC Suite and select Software Updater option.
2. It will download latest NSU version.
3. Connect N97 thru data cable in "PC Suite" mode.
4. Click on Software Updater.
5. It will detect the fone, current firmware & available updates.
6. Start Update Process.
7. It will download and then update the fone.
8. Phone restarts with new firmware

first you need to backup and format your phone then trying to update,it helps for a successful update...
