Default Aircell GPRS


hello all,
the place to which i have have been shifted recently has airtel and aircell network coverage.
i want a Gprs plan to activate. Airtel is faster. but i heard that in prepaid, aircell gprs is Rs 98/month valid. with unlimited browsing. my querries are:
1. will i be able to use it in my laptop with my fone as a modem?
2. the customer care people said, tht whenever we download anything, we will be charged money, but if we view online videos, wont we be charged?

plz reply fast.
i have to get this connection within 2 days.

1. Yes
2. Download from aircel wap is chargeable, downloading from other wap/web sites on pc/ on mobile is free (using aircelweb access point)
3. Apn : aircelweb

2. if ur active on 98 internet plan then u can download anything watch as much videos as u can and all..

i dont know how these people (customer care) claim that if u download any thing u will charged but surfing wont be charge..!!!! how they can differentiate that

Aircel GPRS is really good
Catches signals in Basements too but you cant make calls from a basement

@panacea
I have never tried connecting phone to PC but GPRS rocks on the Phone

downloading from paid site is chargeable i think, others is free..
@ aspire:
i got it connected in my lappy. i used opera mini emluator in lappy and its faster than normal browsing!

how much speed do u get at AIRCEL Rs.98 plan?

me, i get about 3kbps downloading

its slower than airtel mobile office

google microemulator for opera mini n download it. also download opera mini in pc. run d emulator- open opera mini.jar file in d emulator, also resize d emulator to fit ur desktop screen size.
