Thumbs up Airtel Now the Fifth Largest Network in terms of Minutes talked on a network.


Bharti Airtel has been declared as the fifth largest operator in the world on the basis of minutes talked on a network. It achieved 141 billion mobile minutes on its network way ahead of other operators such as sprint, Movil and so on. The only networks which were ahead are -
The four other operators which occupied first four places are as follows.

1. China Mobile with 726 billion mobile minutes

2. Verizon with 226 billion mobile minutes

3. AT&T came up third with 166 billion mobile minutes

4. Vodafone with 156 billion mobile minutes.

Yup.

But unfortunately, Airtel can't overtake vodafone now that vodafone has entered India and are competing strongly with airtel in student circles.

i thought it will be reliance , 90% indians have reliance (blind guess)

^Reliance for CDMA, but many ppl I know dont buy reliance for bad quality of phones provided. GSM is mainly Airtel and Vodafone due to aggressive marketing and cheaper call rates and cheap phones with good battery and build quality. (Nokia FTW!)
