any symbian champs out there ?

Hi friends, I am new to symbian and am confused :
1. How to hack the phone to remove the 'certificate error' or 'certificate expired error'.

2.Have gone through some blogs pertaining to hellox, and requested for certificate and key on a chinese website, only to find that these were already existing on my EMEI. what to do next ?

3. I have an .avi file in my inbox, and I get error message 'file format unsupported'. How can I save this file to memory card, so that I may open it from some other application ? I am able to move this file only to 'my folders' which is not visible anywhere in the file browser.

1) Change your phone date to earlier year to solve the certificate expired error. You can hack your phone to install any unsigned apps which if you install without hacking will give you "certificate error".

2) Hacking s60 to install any unsigned apps is a simple process. Don't get into certificate signing & all.

3) Install X-plore & then press '4' after opening Xplore & then press '2' to copy the file & then point it to the required destination on the memory card.

I already know what you have posted. But the problem is you need a signed HelloOX. This means 17 capability developer certificate, which I found that somebody already has got issued for my IMEI.
Also, I don't know the location of 'my folders' . Do you ?

You can try alternative site for firmware . Apart from opda.com.cn , isign.imobile.com.cn also provides certificate . There is a very nice illustrative guide in s60v5 section of www.dailymobile.se site for getting certificate from imobile.com , you can follow that.

If everything fails , i think you can order a signed certificate from helloox2.com by donating $5.

i can give you an tutorial for creating your own certificate n key but it works only two time for me one for me and second for my best friend case as i made cert n sign the drakkarious from it as hello ox was giving me problem

i dont think that changing the date back to the 6month earlier will do any trick as new firmware is more sophisticated so it will only help you when you will be having signed application with you(or in case of expired cert only)


regarding moving file from inbox you have to hack your phone 1st as hacking will provide you permission to install unsigned application along with access to the hidden folder like c:sys:bin or crivate

in this private folder you will get mail folder in this mail folder you will get many more folder with name a b c d .... or then opening these folder will give you many more folder so you have to patiently open each folder and among one of these folder you will get that avi file then only you can cut n paste it to the E drive

this tut was made by the drakk himself n it work for me only sign drakkarious sis v3 which was compatible till v30(i am using n 95 v 31) but after signing hello ox from this cert it gives me error so i just tried to sign drak n it worked n that's to for two phone only one is mine n other is 5800xm...dont know about my friend phone anymore as its stolen but mine is working perfectly


waise i wana know more about this 17 compatiblity cert n why it cant be self made?

why do the hassle when you can just press 4 on xplore to go to inbox files

yeah its an easier way but i was giving him an alternative

Last time i used drakkarious was more than a year ago with 5700 v5.11 and 5320 v3.xx . I didn't even needed to sign , just chnaging the date of phone was enough . I am not sure but i think drakkarious dont work with newer phone with newer firmware including n82 v31.

HelloOX , unlike drakkarious must be signed . Now i dont know exactly what the '17 capabilities certificate ' means but this certificate gives application highest access to system which is not possible with self made certificate . Signing helloox is the ONLY way to hack symbian phones right now.

What are other alternatives except installing a hacked firmware, as I dont want risk bricking my phone ?

in opda i also once found that my imei was already active so they gave you an option that if imei is your then claim it or remove it so if you can then try it n ask there in forums


n there are no risk in hacking as you think even people are doing jail breaking in i phone which can ruin their warranty

regarding alternative there are many but they are not 100% sure or full proof n in comparison to those hello ox became more useful in hacking the firmware version over 30

try to claim back your cert from these site but if you cant then try the tutoriol i will give you

i am just sharing my experience with n 95 n 5800xm firmware v 31 n v 21 coz after obtaining cert from opda n after signing signed hello ox was crashing in my phone so i tried to sign with that tute n drakkarious work wonder n ya that tute mostly failed me but only 1st two two times it works for me ...may be by mistake i had changed the original setting of the key file(i am noob n biotech background so dont know about CS thing very much so i cant explain why it happened as that tute consist of one key n cert file which we have to modify according to our imei....i think those file are opda self sign cert n key valid for 20 yr n we are modifying them for our imei)

I am also not arguing with you , just sharing my experience .

Btw , you should upgrade 5800 to v30 . Phone is noticeably faster.

I got the cer and key from opda and used hello ox2 to successfully hack my N82.
