Nokia unveils Music Store for India; makes it utterly useless

At the Nokia Music Connects press event in Mumbai on Wednesday, the company launched its Nokia Music Store for India, which will offer over three million international and Hindi film and regional soundtracks across all genres.

Nokia vice president, music Elizabeth Schimel added, "With over three million tracks, India Music Store will have the most diverse portfolios of content, covering 20 genres and almost 90 per cent of the local music in India."

Its just that they have a DRM model that is, for now, supported by a select few handsets. I don't see how Nokia "made" it utterly useless. Its quite clear what their strategy is...they will be pushing out phones with this kind of DRM as a "feature" i.e. you'll be able to download a few songs for FREE while being able to "buy" lots of them. It might look useless to a few but it seems to be a business decision for Nokia.
