The scores are less cause the app was installed on the DVRSMMC and not on Phone memory.. Mobile Review.com got 2401 as the score..

Advantages :

1) A very fast Processor.. I like it.. works very fast..
2) Has up-2-date tech inside it including WCDMA.. Reliance is currenty supportin 2000 CDMA.. wher as this phone is 2100.. Hopefully someday we can use this cell on our CDMA Networks..
3) Symbian OS S60 v8.0 : The latest and fastest..
4) Good loud speakers..
5) Being a Symbian OS .. 1000's of apps/games available...
6) Future Proof : GPRS and EDGE
7) Can play MP3 ringtones..
8 ) Hot Swap ur DVRSMMC .. no need to switch off ur phone and take it ou t.. ( although i don recommend that )
9) Considered 1 of the best camera available in market.. ( i have some doubts )..
10) Camera : Smoon 6x ZOOM... and also it has filter attached on the back panel which can be replaced.. So maybe Nokia is planning to launch some additional filters for a richer camera experience which can be replaced there..

Disadvantages :
1) No FM : WHY WHY WHY!!!
2) Uses DVRSMMC ( can be expensive for some ppl ).. although u get DVRSMMC 256 MB for Rs. 1900 these days.. still expensive compared to MMC

Comments :

1st of all I would like to say.. its NOT heavy.. looks on TV.. but a good weight phone.. and the egnormics is cool too.. the keypad looks very tight but surprisingly very easy to use..

A Fast processor indeed.. all my games run smoothly.. and battery life is good.. gives me 2 days atleast.. on normal usage

The biggest downfall i found was NO FM.. cause i will luv to have that being stuck in Mumbai Traffic.. but u get an addon for Rs. 1200

Camera is nice and recording upto 1 Hr..

64 MB of DVRSMMC already provided with pre-installed apps like quickoffice etc.. helps me a lot to keep my work on the move.. I use it a lot personally...

Basically I say.. Go for this.. or better 6680/6681

Mobile-Review.com Quotes

The final conclusion about Nokia 6630 is that it's the best smartphone without a touchscreen. Its absence brings some limitations to the phone but Nokia 6630 has no any real alternatives in its class and they won't appear in the nearest future.

Nokia 6630 is a real success of the company for several years, it joins innovations and style. I advise to pay attention to the model.
Market Price : Rs. 16300

@vishal_bhatia87

Dude.. there is always a better phone in market..

@nirubhai

Yeah cant create one but i think i saw some software which does

@superwiz

WCDMA cannot be used with reliance network because reliance works on 2000 network.. and these phones work on 2100 network... so until reliance introduces new band.. it will not work

VGA camera ( like 6600 ) gives u a max resolution of 640 x 480 pixels.. while MP ( Mega Pixel ) Camera gives u resoltion of 1024 x 468 and above resolution..

The pic is obviously bigger and clearer..

Thanks dude.

BTW if its possible to use this phone on reliance network(probably in the near future) then i bet its worth buying if one can handle the bulky size...

6630 does not replace ur TV by a long shot, but it's still a damn good phone, i own one.

the fm for 1200 is an addon accessory from nokia that adds fm capabilities to the 6630.

I was saving the funds for 3230, & waited .. n do a little research .. I found that the fone sucks .. it has SW problem .. Keypad is bad ... the old processor(123Mhz ARM4T) .. and all.

I read this at Mobile-Reveiw
http://www.mobile-review.com/review/nokia-6630-en.shtml
Their reveiws are the best.
So, I am thinkin of 6630

There are 6670, 6680 also .. can anyone plz. post the latest price!
about N-series .... how is N-70..

1. Please tell me if its worth to buy this phone now or buy 6670 instead?
So, that latter take N70
2. Do you guys find any disadvantages in 6630?

@rohanwadhwa

The Price i mentioned is without Bill

The Addon FM is a handsfree with FM setup..

@mobilegeek

I think 6630 will suffice ur needs.. Disadvantages?? Hmm.. maybe FM should have been there..

How do see ... 6681
Every thing is same .. processor 220Mhz., colour, BT, support, etc.
Same camera

Two differnces I found between them are:
1. The screen may be better in 6680
2. The 6630 has 10 MB memory, 6680 .. 2MB less
thats way the 6630 performs better

And I feel the 6630 rules in every respect,
Since its in market for quiet some time ... so the price has come down.

bcoz of extra 2 MB the 6630 is better at applications
So, ATM 6630 rules

Anything you want to point it here .. then please do!

I have to admit i am really shell shocked with the Drastic amount of price that this cell phone model has dropped to
When i previously inquired from many of my friends who had purchased the price hovered around 22k to 24k.Whereas recently my cousin bought the 6630 for 15.5k with bill (Of course a Finland Piece) from Alpha.Umm i dont get the logic out here how come the piece has dropped its price so fast.Anyways this is a excellent phone IMO and truly worth the dough you pay for it.

@maximus_3007
For that you have to post your q in other thread like.. This Thread

But in short I must say 6630 is a SmartPhone, and Incase you want a Cam as basic feature you should get a 5.0 MegaPixcel HandyCam instead.. this is my personal opinion .. but you can see the similar response on various reviews... on various sites.

Difference between 6630 and 6680

1. 6680 has got 262k colour screen. There is no noticable diff between 65k and 262k screen in this screen size.

2. 6680 has got a front cam
3. 6680 has got a flash for the cam.

in chennai you can get 6630 for 13.8 k and 6680 for around 21k then you see which one is better.

So i conclude that 6630 rocks.

i got this for myself two days back.

regards..

I heard somewhere :" N6630 supports Nokia HS-2R,stereo FM headset,by which we can hear FM stereo very well,BUT,with this headset MP3 output from the phone in only MONO.If U want to hear mp3 in stereo we have to use HS-3 stereo headset supplied with N6630."
Is this True???????!!!!!!!!!

See.. the phone must hav stereo output and headset must jus support stereo output...therefore, the HS-2R FM headset will support stereo output.( I got this info from the dealer and from my friends who r using it).

Actually, u hav the answer in ur question...as both headsets support stereo...the phone does not decide upon the headset to giv a mono/stereo output. The sound output matters only based on the phone. U'll hav to worry only if either the phone or the headset does not support stereo. This case....NAP(not a problem!)

Yes ... the output is stereo in 6630 .. the same for 6680/6681/N70/N90

The problem you are talking about arise if you use the HS-2R FM headset with 3230, 6670, 7610

We can convert any file in PC using 'word'.Now,you can transfer such converted .doc files to a folder in 6630 using PC suite.
Then U can browse the folder using 'quick office' in 6630.
