where did 5630xm go?

There is no news about 5630xm in india it has been more than month this phone was released to europe but still no sign for release in india.
if you enquire about the phone from nokia dealers they just say its still not available and they dont know when it will be available.
phones announced after 5630 are already available or going to be available in 2 weeks(like 5530) but no news about 5630. Did nokia suddenly planned not to release it in india or delay its release even further after release of 5530?what is it does anyone has any idea?

I wanted to the phone but its not even listed @ nokia india site so i dont think it will release anytime soon if ever

^^ya it seems so that they will delay it even further.i wanted to buy this phone for such a long time as it had all the features which i wanted, but i guess now i would have to look for some other option.

guys can anyone suggest a decent phone within 12k my basic requirements are
3.2mp camera,wifi,good music(essential)
3g,tv out(optional,good if available)
will prefer if os is symbian or windows mobile

please give your suggestions.

sujoyp are you sure that n79 is at 14k because i asked and it was told to be 15k and mobilestore is selling at 15.9k.this price 14k is from which city.

at www.univercell.com its 14.2k and even in alfa in mumbai people got for lesser

ok i got it the price at univercell is without adding vat but after adding vat it comes around 14.6-14.7k so 15k is almost ok i will look for better deal when i buying by end of this month.

but guys please suggest some more options also some model on lower side around within 12k .what is your suggestion about 5530xm

overall 5530 seems good but just some concerns
1.No 3g
2.Poor cam of 5800...if they use same module
3.only 4.5 hr of talktime
4. only 2.9 inch screen can be bit small for a touch screen
5. poor video recording 220 x 176@15ps which is even poor then qvga(320x240)

hmm...
3g is not concern but camera is if it has poor cam then i might not consider this.lets see once it is launched next week how is the price and cam quality once it is in store then i will decided.

so as of now i have 2 phones in my list to be considered
n79 and 5530xm.

guys suggetions for more phones around 12k.

I dont know which bug you're referring to but Each and every phone have its share of bug. N79 is one of the most matured nseries and you shouldn't have major problem. Nokia release firmware regularly and hopefully the bugs will be resolved .its also one of the best looking nseries.

yes you are correct actually i read some old posts on web which stated some bugs but nokia has released 2-3 firmware updates since release of n79 and all bugs have been fixed as of now and also new features also added.last firmware update was in may 2009 and it was a major update
these were the bugs fixed which i was refering

I took n79 .. Camera is pretty good. i took it from aplpha for 16 k
Got two memory cards .. Music in speaker sounds low . Is it a bug or the voice is low from the beginining.. All other features in the phone are good....

have you updated the firmware?because it is important to do so as many bugs in this phone which were previously there have been fixed so i suggest first try to update the firmware.

guys a general question about tv out feature.is the tv out feature limited to playing videos and photos on tv only or it functions like projecting everything which is displayed on phone screen to the tv like games,presentations etc.

Everything on the screen is sent to tv but the resolution is scaled with respect to the phone's display(not sure though but 70% chances) ie qvga!

thanks,now i remember seeing a photograph long back with n95 in tv output mode the pic was scaled down.i think you are correct about screen being scaled down and i thought we will be able to get fullscreen view.
how nice it would be if we could connect our mobiles to tv or projectors wirelessly and enjoy videos,do internet,work with microsoft office etc. on a full hd anywhere then no need for you to carry a laptop just for presentation.i hope that day is not too far

guys i meanwhile enquired about n79 price is it is definetly 14.2k or less,i got the minimum quote of 14.1 k and it is selling like hot cakes many shops even told that they have all n79 sold within 2 weeks and now they are out of stock but new stock will come soon.
i have decided to buy n79 will be buying soon thanks everyone here for helping me.i will post my experience when i buy this.
and those of you waiting for 5530xm nokia has delayed its launch to end of aug or starting of sept as they are targeting it to launch in festive season(makes sense) and price will be around 12k.5530 is a good phone and will surely be a hit.

5800 or n97 is gud when comes to tv output cause they have high resolution screen(gud enough for tv output.....atleast) watching a movie is fun on tv with tv out and 5800

guys need suggestion about the colour of n79.there are 3 colours available canvas white,seal grey,petrol black. in picture on nokia website seal grey looks good and i want to buy this one but does it look the same in real.i mean is the grey a light shade grey or is it the dark dull grey anyone having it or seen it comment.i donot want black one so which one to choose white or grey?
if the grey is too dark and dull grey then i will go fo white and secondly is the backlight of grey model seems dim in dark as compared to white?

I've seen the white and black ones . White one is really classy . Black one looks cheap (since every other phone out there is also black).

No idea about seal grey though.

these both phones i have used as my friends own these! I must say choosing btw these two phone depends totaly on you! See what u like, 5pmx cam or high res display with touch screen!
Except display and cam, every thing is almost same! But if i had to choose i would go for 5800.(personal preference)

BTW touch and non touch is a personal preference...
I think non touch is more durable and u can use it carelessly...
but in touch u have to keep it in pouch, carefull about scratches, keep fingers clean while using etc.
