Wait for Nokia 2730 Classic. Its got 3G and killer looks and is expected to cost Rs. 5000/- making it the world's cheapest 3G phone.

G502 is nice but slightly outdated and with expensive memory which has a limit of a tiny 4GB. Nokia 5130 XpressMusic would be better if you don't mind missing out on 3G and buying your own earphones.

The way nokia is delaying its release and not releasing good phones at all in the market , i doubt when will 2730 actually release.

Go for g502 , its a bit costly with mem card and data cable at ~7.5k , but its a good phone . No nokia can come close to it .

Last heard the G502 was at 6.5k. SE dropped their prices a week back. Most prices were slashed by 1-2k.

Since g502 dont come with data cable or memory card in box, price should be considerd with cable and card , which easily adds ~700. But still its a good phone anyway .

@sujoyp
Nokia 5130 also officially supports only 2gb but practically 16gb. Since 2730 uses same platform , i believe it will also be capable of 8gb .

exactly what I was going to say.
I was waiting for Nokia 2700 Classic but had to make my buy soon because college was starting so I chose the 5130XM instead.

Well, I would suggest you to go for SE K530i
this phone is too good for its price range and performance. D camera takes really nice pics and the sound quality is good as well. If u like sleek design candybar phones den u shud definitely go for it.

For Nokia 2700 Classic, Being a 3G phone, where is the front camera for video calling..???
That is a big drawback i wud say, calling a phone 3G enabled without a front VGA camera makes no sense.. because video calling is the most imp feature of 3G rite..?

officially supports 8GB, but easily 16GB(its with most of the nokia phones which have been released recently). its a damn good fone I bought for my sis, and we both are liking it. Its price is less(wont use word cheap it will be bad), build is good(earlier I was thinking its bad but ater handling it seems to be good)
there are a few more fones from nokia which m looking forward to, one of which is next in line to 5500 sport, which is 3720 classic(too bad does not has 3G or 3.5mm jack(actually not sure about this, some news says it has but on gsmarena it says 2.5 mm jack also whthere it is 3.2 MPx or 2MPx) which is said to be new stone(water resistant and all)- I would like to own one of it if its price is reasonable. as I m not into b=much of 3G and music but, with my last 2 buys, I have realized I need something which wont break easily or .........

about 2730, it has also got 3.5mm jack which is a huge plus, nokia has done it quiet sensibly, putting 3.5mm jack helps alot.

^^ I'd have surely bought the 'stone' if it was <5k , i dont neeed any other feature as long it can receive and make calls. The peace of mind of walking in the rain and having a indestructable phone is priceless .
