Re: Poll: What are the biggest challenges you come across for setting up email on pho
Good question.
1) My phone doesn't support exchange email push
2) I have to pay 600 bucks per month to push email to my phone and every week my mailbox gets more than half gb of mail and hence, the final per month pay will be heavy
3) airtel GPRS/EDGE sucks

Re: Poll: What are the biggest challenges you come across for setting up email on pho
Nowdays setting up email in any good branded phone is DEAD SIMPLE . On newer nokia (and se i heard)Just put email and password and you're done.
Biggest problem is data charge though . I just switched to airtel from bsnl and they dont allow internet on NOP . And 500 for data is really bit too.
Another problem is most email providers dont support IMAP. But as a gmail and OVI user i dont face this problem.
@desibond , what phone do you use ?

Err nothing. Push and viola.
The main problem is the edge speeds. In kolkata, its humongous.

I use airtel iphone data plan... so free atleast for 1yr.
I use Exchange and Push in iPhone 3G for office and personal mail and its damn easy to setup.. for gmail just give userid and password and for exchange userid password and exchange url... done.

as I said, other bad thing is Airtel's crappy GPRS/EDGE and their heavy charges. I can live for 1hrs without checking mail as I can access mail from home and office.

No bro.. its 500MB per month and you can connect to PC. But just for emails i see almost 150MB is more than enough/month if you have wifi on your office and home
