Digital camera wanted: plz recommend!

hello all,
i have Rs18K with me. i want to buy a good digital camera.
i have zeroed into 2 models:
1. Sony w220:
12.1 Mega pixel> 4X optical zoom > 2Gb memory card> Rs 13,000

2. Canon SX 110:
9 Megapixel > 10X optical zoom > 4GB free memory card (offer) > Rs 17,000

guys, i am having confusion here, plz help:

Q1. if i Buy w220, it doesnt have a good optical zoom > i wont be able to get crisper images from distance.

q2. if i buy Canon SX 110, it does not have a better megapixel, i additionally want to capture images out of a book, and then transfer the text in the image through a OCR software...12.1 MP has a better chance than 9 MP.also, i heard cannon does not give better Night vision images than sony....also, this cannon will cost me Rs 4K more...

what do i do guys? i need to buy the thing by tomorrow!~!!

sorry to say man but ur comparision is not worth...w220 is good if u want an allrounder and pocketable device....

Canon SX110IS is much better...but its bulky.thats all..

a 9mp pic can print 3456 x 2592 which is bigg enough u wont need a 12mp

u can also think about sony H-10 camera it may be of 15K. it is 8.1MP, 10Xoptical zoom and video recording at 640*480, 30FPS. but there is one disadvantage in this, there is no optical zoom during video recording and also you can`t use flash at video recording. Also sony is giving three year warranty on their DIgital Cameras.
I recommend it as GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.
