Internet Service Provider in Cellphone

I know the only Internet Service provider through cellphone is Reliance.

TATA infocom has entered recently into this field.


Does BSNL provide internet connection (on PC) through its mobile service ? If yes pls give a hint on the scheme.

even the gsm operators give u gprs service that u can use on ur computer. i dont think that bsnl provides itthough. i know abt hutch, idea, airtel, bpl mobile, etc.

Reliance is CDMA and tata are cdma .. and other are GSM so both are having different tech..

btw.. reliance will son provide internet at the speed of 300 Kbps + but not sure that how soon is that soon !

but in GSM.. EDGE will be soon available widely !

Yeh GSM Providers like Hutch , BPL provide internet access thru mobile devices.Hutch charges 500 bucks rental.Airtime charges are free!But speed will depend on your device.(How many Download channels it has)

Are You sure BPL & IDEA offer internet on PC through GPRS enabled cellphones ?

What is speed u r gettin while connecting through mobile...

hutch gives around 40kbps (and limit of gprs is 43.2) but with EDGE enabled it should give THREE TIMES HIGHER speeds tho i havent tried it out. that means theoretically it can achieve 129.6

download speeds are wen u divide it by 8 so for

GPRS = 5.4
EDGE = 16.2
