Default 3G support worth the price?

I'm thinking of buying a new mobile phone. My budget is about Rs 10000. I need a camera(even 2MP will do) and music player and GPRS. My question is whether or not to go for 3G support. Most of the 3G handsets I looked at were priced above Rs 10000. I live in Maharashtra and Goa circle where 3G services have not yet started. I'll be using the set for a minimum of 3 years. Does it make sense to spend money on 3G support? please help me out!

Well, 3G is good but quite costly right now. Since you are buying a new phone for the next 3 years, do get a 3G phone.

I use the G502, and would recommend it to anyone in the market for a phone at around 8K. Yes it doesnt have a Secondary camera, but it does support HSPDA.
