N79 or N82?

i cant decide which one to get.
Things that don't make a difference to me
1.Camera-N82 has xenon flash N79 doesnt(both are fine)
2.FM transmitter-N79(dont really need it)
What matters
1.N82 has 3d HW accelerator and dual ARM11 cpu 332 MHz
2.N79 has symbian os 9.3 and ARM11 cpu 369MHz
I plan on using the phone for the next 2-3 years and i play games.
Questions
1.Which processor is better?(real world scenario and on paper)
2.Is the 3d accelerator gonna help and do a lot a games NEED it?
3.Is os9.3 backward compatible.Will apps for 9.2 and 9.1 work?
4.Are apps and games gonna be released for 9.2 for next 2-3 years?
whew that's it.Any help is appreciated.

If u dont need fm transmitter and dont bother about os9.3 then N82 is better than N79 and is cheaper too. Rest is your choice based on looks and other stuff

N79 looks much better

you won't need that 3d accelerator... even mighty N96,N85 does not have it

N79 got S60 9.3 ..

N79 cause it got FM TRANSMITTER ... really good for SHOW OFF

and also for transferring mp3 in fm recording phones

you will keep on getting apps for 9.3,9.2,9.1 (all are same with some added stuff )

N79 keypad is way better than N82

N79 screen brightness is more than N82

u can change the back cover of the phone to cool ones daily...

Since your priority is gaming, get N82.

The CPU won't make much of a difference on day to day usage. I found the difference once only when I was playing a HD RIP of TV show in the phone without converting. N82 played it smooth while in N79 the video was stuttering. N82's dual core CPU & 3D GPU were able to handle the higher resolution & bitrate

+1 for N79...coz its new interface...similar cam performance and good looks.

there r very less 3d games available soo 3d card not much advantage.

N79 can also play Ngage games equally well..

haha ... interesting conversation

when it comes to video playback , i feel it doesnt matter cos either ways its better if u convert it ... cos u'll save space and the time it takes to transfer ...

so n79 if u want the looks ... and its got those funky panels that change themes ... plus it looks better and has the newer UI when compared to n82 ...

so i would go for the n79

No , future r ngage games only , need 3D hardware

N79 is slower than N85 , also N85 is slower than N82

Considering 9.3 is mostly a cosmetic upgrade,i ll be getting the N82.

But I heard that the new firmware of n79 has lots of improvement with camera

Hey by the way after Nokia's N82 and N95 y didnt they released any 3d chip mobile..
Even no other company considered having a 3d accelerator inside

I have used both N82 & N79 with latest firmware. N82's picture quality is indeed better then N79. If camera is your priority then get N82.

^^ Many high end phones are using 3d accelerator if u don't know. Mobiles like Samsung INNOV8 etc. are using it.
lol even the "great" iPhone has a 3d accelerator

With a dedicated 3d accelerator we can even play Quake 3 Arena ( ya the pc version ) and not just the pixelated goodness

By the way I heard that N79's sound and keypad is better than N82....does it add some points to the N79
