Software For Compressing mp3 files...

Hey how can we compress 2 or 3 mb songs in2 mere 700kb or 800 n yet they can b played in mp3 format only!!
plz suggest a software.thx

MP3 itself is compression.

You can either reduce quality by reducing Bitrate or use another File Type like MP4, WMA etc

Use MP3DirectCut (freeware). But an entire song in 700KB? The song quality is going to be in the gutter... you've been warned.

Audacity: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
with Lame: http://lame.sourceforge.net/
(Actually only Lame will also do, if you don't mind Command Line)

You could try: 22Khz sampling (Mono) and 48kbps.
The song will sound like its being played over a phone line though.....
