Default Philips GoGear says "No Songs"...but there are !!!

My roomie has a Philips GoGear 1GB Mp3 player (with screen, capable of playing audio, video and photos). I dont know the model#. It is full of songs but the player says that there are no songs. I plugged the player in my office machine and a virus was detected. The antivirus s/w did delete the virsu but still no success.
There are three folders in the player namely (in the case specified)
PHOTOS
Video
VOICE

The VOICE folder is full of songs but the player does not display any.
Please let me know what may be the issue. Will formatting the player using the RESET switch restore the player to factory state ?

No need for formatting ! The virus may have made the folders "hidden". Change the attribute back to normal.
