Dell Laptop Poor Battery Problem

I have Dell 6400 15" widescreen 6 Cell Battery laptop for about 11 months. earlier I use to get 2.5-3 hrs. battery backup that has now come down to merely 45 min. I like to ask is this poor battery problem covered under Warranty? it's only 1 month left.
