    Budget: 56k
    Preferred Companies: Dell,HP
    Uses: Gaming,Basic IT College Work

    Also Suggest Details of where to buy in Chennai if possible.

    Thin and Light; 12" - 14" screen
    Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen

    3) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

    If you can up you budget by 4k then you can get the i7 model with 8GB RAM and BluRay Drive.

    In flip kart i5 version is of 52k while i7 its of 63k that is 11k more
