Wl I am taking admission this yr in engineering clg, I am thinking of taking admisn in CSE or IT branch.

I already have an Acer Aspire netbook but I thinks thats under-rated for my further studies,
So I want a new Laptop and would require some advice regarding it. It should meet the following requirements:-

    1. I love games, so I would love a high-end graphics enabled rig, on which I can play all the games so far released or gng to be in the coming yrs.
    2. It must have a nice look
    3. A big HDD storage for my collection.
    4. Nice Battery backup

    My Budget : under 40k

So if anybody knows about a laptop which fits my dis & will be good for me plz reply. Thnx

    Thin and Light; 12" - 14" screen
    Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen
    Desktop Replacement; 17"+ screen

    3) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
    a. Like:
    b. Dislike:

    4) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?

    5) What screen resolution(s) & type (glossy/matte) would you prefer?

    6) Anything else you would like to say? (eg: local purchase, ASS,matte/glossy finish)

By the way, just saw, FlipKart has included a free Cooling Pad with it, that too a Cooler Master, so no need for an extra cooling pad if purchasing from flipkart.

So take out that extra 500 and invest it in 1TB external USB 3.0 HDD

    Thats good, btw:-

    1) Its graphics processor is 1 GB AMD Radeon HD 7670M Dedicated + 512 MB AMD Radeon HD 7640G Graphics Integrated, will it support latest HD games along with some games that are to be released in the near future?
    2) Is AMD A8 better then Intel i5 which I think I can get in my budget?

i5 is much better processor than A8 but cheapest i5 laptop with decent gaming graphics card slightly weaker than 7670m(GT540m/630m) will cost ~41000 from brands like asus & that too without genuine windows pre-installed.

Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

Core i5 is better processor than A8 however a Core i5 based notebook to satisfy your requirement would be touching 48/50 Mark..

For A8 performance, I have found these review in the forum, check them out..

GT630M is ranked 134 & Radeon HD 7670M - 127th...I guess both r decent with memory speed around 900, so are they good enough for gaming purpose? Gaming is one of my top-most priority.

I have seen both AMD and Intel running ATI 7xxx series cards, I didnt find games running better in any. Both seemed same to me while running the games more or less..

But sorry I cant quite confirm about the Nvidia and ATI compatibility..

Personal I am an AMD / ATI fan due to the factor of being such a Value for money product

The Dell Core i5 with Linux @ 43k is a real steal by the way, having ATI HD 7670M along with 3rd gen Core i5

I think 40k is much less budget for a good/decent gaming rig. Increasing that to 50k, I come in the range of Ultrabooks. Some post I read a while ago, stated thats they are not good for gaming purposes even if they sport i5, so is there an ultrabook which I can use for gaming?

    Budget:- 50k INR

Add an extra 4GB DDR3 1600 MHz in any of them and one cooling pad..

Advantage of Dell is the fact of being OS fee since its cheaper, where as HP has Rs. 1133/- warranty upgrade offer, where you get 3 year of warranty for just 1133..

Later on get your self a USB 3.0 1TB external HDD

when it comes to laptop always prefer longer warranty between 2 similar models.
