Yes, its a great deal. But AFAIK you could get An ASUS model with such specs at this price with 750GB HDD. But as this deal is from DELL, so its great.

I also put a great effort in getting over my hate for dell inspiron 15 (mainly its keyboard flex) asus has poor ASS in my locality and has the same kb flex too.
I bought the laptop yesterday from ebay, waiting for the laptop!!

8 gb of ram??? ask them to reduce, if possible.
also, upgrade that gpu. its not very good.

speak to a rep. he will listen, and might even customize it to your specs.

i think the old ones had upgradable cpu, ram, hdd, monitor, and the gpu's too. in short, everything except for the mobo was potentially upgradable

IIRC customizing inspiron was a story of long long ago. But it never had a high end GPU or better than this.

Then why didn't you bought alienware instead of envy ? If you call 525M really bad, I guess only 580M would satisfy you, nothing on the earth to drive you crazy yet.
