Need a New laptop <30k for 3d work and gaming.

I want to buy a new laptop for these purpose:

1.)Work with 3D application(3ds or google sketchup)
2.)Gaming(benchmark gta4 or less)
3.)1080p Video Playback(or 720p at least).
and other basic stuff.

I have searched some laptops regarding this and came up with this list :

In less then 30K. No way you can get a decent laptop for any of your work.. All (most) laptop under 30K comes with on board graphics. Increase your budget or Get a desktop

And No need of that Font size we read whole post

Given the demands that you have (a big screen due to 3D work, gaming for at least GTA4, and 1080p video playback) and your budget (INR 30,000), I can make one suggestion.

It has a 15.6" screen (1366 x 768 with LED backlight) and comes with an AMD Zacate APU (E-350 CPU @ 1.6 GHz + AMD Radeon 6310 graphics chip), 2 GB DDR3 RAM (upgradable to 4 GB), and 320 GB 5400 rpm HDD.

I bought this as I needed a 15.6" screen laptop with light gaming potential. I have played World in Conflict (native resolution with low settings), Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 1/2 (native resolution with low settings), and Need for Speed: Undercover (native resolution with low settings) with ease. Battlefield Bad Company 2 is playable but the fps drops to mid-20s in some parts.

I do not know anything about 3D work, so can't comment. Also, keep in mind that this processor is slow (much so than a Core i3), so do not expect blazing-fast performance. But if light gaming and casual work is more important, this is a good option.

My light search and existing knowledge did not throw up a comparable Intel product, but I suggest you search further.


Alternatively, you can get an AMD Llano laptop from an acquaintance of yours who lives abroad. I am unsure of whether these are available in India, but they have been launched in the UAE. Llano is the big and beefier brother of Zacate.

there is a laptop asus X53ta which has amd quad core proccy and 6720g2 gfx card i.e( 6520g+6650m) which is on par with gt 540m and all this cost just below 30k.
Check in asus exclusive shops.

sorry, I will not post in big red fonts in future.By the way gaming is my second prefrence price is first.If I can not get the whole package,I should at least reach upto 80-90% of what I need in my laptop.

laptop looks beautiful and has an excellent thermal design and runs cool even on full load

hey guys I found two new laptops

1.) Asus K53SC-SX226D
Asus K Series K53SC-SX226D Laptop Flipkart@Rs. 25398

This one has got Intel 2nd Gen Dual Core B950(Sandybridge based),rest of specification are same as Asus K Series K53SC-SX096D Laptop.

So can you tell me how much difference it will make@ price less then 4k from Asus K53SC-SX096D.
