Laptop battery not charging

Hi,

I have the Toshiba Satellite X205-S9800 notebook (configuration on my signature). Problem is that one day all of a sudden I find that the laptop battery is not charging in spite of being connected to a power supply. Now the battery has drained out to 0% and I still cannot charge it.

Can anyone give any suggestion?

Use NHC to know the approximate wear and tear of the battery.

What's NHC?

Will updating the BIOS be of any help?
