Default installing 3 operating systems


hello friends,

i want to ask one doubt, regarding partitions, how many partitions should I make for installing 3 os windows xp sp2,ubuntu, and solaris, are 4 enough, my lappy config is 512ddr2 ram,80gb harddisk1.73ghz processor.

how do i install all of them simultaneously.

U need different partitions to install these 3 different operating systems.

And please install it as - XP, then Solaris and lastly Ubuntu.

Why not keep one OS which you will mostly use and run rest of them in Virtualization using apps like Virtual PC, VmWare etc

yeah install ubuntu (or solaris) in hdd and run the unstable operating system in vmware

I do not suggest installing any OS with virtualization primarily because of only 512mb ram, secondly coz the full potential is not exploited.

However, if you are not comfortable with partitioning and fear data loss, I'd suggest using VMWare or VirtualBox anyday.

no idea abt solaris but install xp first and then ubuntu and then solaris
