surfing internet with SE T 630

I have Dell Inspiron laptop with Win XP Home as OS. I want to connect to internet with my cell phone either thro cable or infrared.I am not interested in getting GPRS connection from my MSP.Is it possible to do it and if so how.
Will highly appreciate all feedbacks.

T630 has modem so u will only need to activate FULL GPRS from ur MSP.

Some MSP offer a Mobile only version of GPRS at low cost wich u cannt use to connect from ur PC, so be careful.

Dun go in for infra-red. Wotever connection you take...ensure that it is either thru cable or bluetooth....i am using airtel gprs on my laptop wid a T610 thru infra-red....and i am getting pretty bad speeds...
