Default 2 Pcs + 1 Internet Connection

I have 2 computers at home and a single phone line(dial up).One Pc is equipped with a D-link external modem (56Kbps) and its mobo has inbuilt Dual Lan Cards. Now I want to connect both the computers to internet using a single phone line that I have.So now Please tell me what appropriate hardware do I need. Do I have to buy a new modem or a Lan Card Or ant Other Hardware? How Do I Connect them to both the pcs?

You need to setup a LAN before you can share a internet connection.
Since you already have a lan card for one pc get another for the other & crossover cable of required length with RJ45 connectors at both the ends.

Setup a network & use Internet Connection Sharing or a proxy to share a internet connection like winproxy.

Btw first which operating systems do you have on both the pc's?We can go step by step shall we?

Get ur Lan up n running and then enable the ICS service
in XP on the comp which is directly connected to the net.
Run the ICS wizard which will guard through the entire process
in a very user friendly way for newbies.
If ur not very familiar with networks then a proxy server is
not reccomended.
