I want to host a website on stock markets as my father is a technical analyst of the share bazaar. I have decent knowledge of HTML but nothing else and would like to know how to put up my website on the internet. I would also appreciate if digit incorporates this topic in the February issue of DIGIT

for the sake of getting a site on the internet,

1. prepare the site
2. buy a domain or get a free domain
3. upload site on domain
4. smile

u can try geocities, tripod, lycos etc these are good free domains or you can try to buy a domain. try googling for it.

i can give u a list of paid domains, but that would be a biased one

Good that u know HTML. But for a subject like Stock Market u need a PRO look. Go in for either a free template for ur website or make one of ur own. Its very easy... u just need a good knowledge of graphics but don't overdo on those.

For a free hosting company i wud suggest to go to www.1asphost.com.
Register there. Its free!
Then go to www.cjb.net for a free url redirection. Redirect ur url to ur 1sphost account.
Wats more u also get an email like you@yoursite.cjb.net!! which sends all emails recieved on it to any other mail account u want!!!

Wel i wud suggest to go in for this method. Its my fav, n u can have ASP running on it - crucial for user interaction!

If u wanna buy a domain... good but only if u make tht much money to afford 1 (though its cheap but not FREE).

And asphost has only one text add below(cool) which u can avoid if u like.

As Aseem Nasnodkar has put it beautifully, you can use good free webhosts and redirect it too.

But, i'll tell you a personal thing (my perspective), an own domain looks good. its better to have www.mywebsite.com than www.mywebsite.domain.webhost......com

rest is ur wish, free services aren't really bad...
