Hi guys,i've 2 pc nd i want internet sharing with any network hardware (HUB).details hub nd how can i connect 2 pc .guid me brother

anyway... whats ur Internet Connection type... u havent maintioned that...

I am giving a general guide....

I suppose u have DataOne conntion... u connected by dialing mode through ADSL modem...

1st Either Get 2 LAN cards for the PC where the DataOne would come... or Connect the modem using USB interface...

with 2 LAN Cards follow this guide...

plug the cards in, connect each with RJ45, now @ the both PC go to network settings, right click on the new Local Area Network connection



Click porperties, now highlight the option Internet Protocol TCP/IC now click proeprties.... here u configure ur IP and other details,

1st system which has the broadband connection, (hope u have BSNL DataOne)

1st Lan Card





IP 192.168.1.1
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default getway 192.168.1.1

Preferd DNS 61.0.0.5 (or ur ISP DNS)
Alternet DNS 61.1.96.71 (or ur ISP DNS)

2nd Lan Card

right click on the new Local Area Network connection



Click porperties, now highlight the option Internet Protocol TCP/IC now click proeprties.... here u configure ur IP and other details,





IP 192.168.0.1
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0

Preferd DNS 192.168.1.1
Preferd DNS 61.0.0.5 (or ur ISP DNS)
Alternet DNS 61.1.96.71 (or ur ISP DNS)


2nd System Only Lan Card

IP 192.168.0.2
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default getway 192.168.0.1

Preferd DNS 61.0.0.5 (or ur ISP DNS)
Alternet DNS 61.1.96.71 (or ur ISP DNS)
Alternet DNS 192.168.0.1


now u can share ur Broadband connection too, so in this way u can share internet connection without a hub...

P.S. as its a home network i guess... u can turn on the file and printer shareing and turn of the firewall or create a exeption rule for this share...

Now with USB....

Well Connect the Modem in USB... U have to configure the modem to log in as Dialing... Now at Network place create a new PPPOE Connection to connect to the net... right click on it... click properties... go to to advance and the turn on the shareing option...



Now at the LAN Card of the 1st system with USB connected DataOne...

IP 192.168.0.1
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default getway 192.168.0.1

Preferd DNS 61.0.0.5 (or ur ISP DNS)
Alternet DNS 61.1.96.71 (or ur ISP DNS)
Alternet DNS 192.168.0.1


at the second PC LAN Card

IP 192.168.0.2
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default getway 192.168.0.1

Preferd DNS 61.0.0.5 (or ur ISP DNS)

thanx 4 reply saurav_cheeta ,my isp tata indicom WFP.i've 2 pc 1st Cyrix desktop pc(PIII),2nd Dell 6400 laptop.
i really confiused my laptop used internet through usb data cable os is XP nd my desktop used serial data cable os is linux,it is possible nd u know brother if host is cyrix pc then my internet bandwidth low.help me guys
