Default Search for lost files on the internet .....

I am looking for a file on the internet which was once exclusively downloadable on a paticular site. Is there a way to search for that file anywhere else on the internet.

If you know the file name, you can search for it on FTP search sites like www.filemirrors.com , or a search engine like google. If you don't know the exact name of the file, try digging out an old archive of the site from www.archive.org , and procure the link which pointed to the file.
