opera ! , an incompatible browser ?
i use opera 7.54 to view internet
i have a gmail account
but when i log on to my account using opera the gmail tells me it is an incompatible browser ! "learn more
for complete experience use compatible browser"

 according 2 gmail standards - YES 
Actually it has lots of feature sets but falls behind in compliancy factor... gr8 app 4 PDA/handhelds though
better pet the Fox..

You can still continue to log in, or upgrade to Opera 8.0
Yes, you are right that GMail is incompatible with Opera 7.54, but you can click the option to "Continue anyway" or similiar or upgrade to Opera 8.0. 8.0 has no such problems.

Just upgrade to Opera 8.0, it is compatible with gmail.

<I shud not make this comment 4 some reason, but it seems 2 me they r so busy in making newer money making plans at Opera.. dev. is being ignored>

Hmmm... I think that when all other webmail services have no problem running on Opera 7.x, then GMail should also run on it. So the POV is like that.

ThanX 4 d tip expertno.1, and I think Opera is incompatible not the opposite because all the other major browsers hav no prob. and Opera claims 2 b a major... I also use Opera though and like it 2 ..

opera 8 supports gmail in my computer.
i dont think .4 can open gmail as i really had lots of probs with it.
so i finally upgraded to 8 and voila! enrything is just so fine!!opera 8 rocks man!

I am using Opera 8.0 build 7561 (I presume the latest stable version), And I am able to use gmail on it.
But I am unable to use the richtext formats in compose on Opera -- That doesn't matter to me. I feel Opera is much convenient for me than Mozilla or IE...

So u ppl c, it's still not 100% compatible like d other major playas - even NetScape supports it
Accessing Gmail & using Gmail r 2 totally diff. thing - u can access Gmail with Opera but the special features (like creating new filter/label etc. + invit) remains disabled.
That's why Gmail still didn't placed it 2 d official 100% compatible browsers list yet.
