best college for CSE

I have passed 12th and have given IIT-JEE 2011. I expect to clear the cutoff but chances of getting Computer Science in any IIT is very low. Please tell which will be the best college for studying Computer Science and Engineering except the IITs? I have done my 12th from Delhi so I get 85% reservation in applying for DCE/DTU and NSIT. Are they good for CS or should I focus on getting some NITs like NIT warangal or NIT trichy?

Please do reply... it's urgent.

If not IIT, go for IIIT H > NSIT > DCE > IIIT A > NITs

Not IIT, IIIT. It is different but just next to the IITs. IIIT H > Any NIT

same here mate, i am also expecting to clear the cut-off in IIT-JEE 2011 but i dont think i will be getting a rank good enough for CSE. i have also heard that IIIT-H is very good for CSE and i am putting my efforts to score well in AIEEE to get a good rank so that i can get CSE in IIIT-H or a good NIT...

I know there is IIT and IIIT both in Hyderabad.
IIT Hyderabad was started in 2008-2009. This is Indian Institute of Technology.
IIIT Hyderabad is International Institute of Technology started in 1998.

AFter a bit of asking , i got to know that..there's no iit in hyd
but iiit in hyd...and i guess u cant get direct admission in IIIT -hyd..

IIIT-H takes students on the basis of AIEEE rankings. It conducts its own counselling and one needs to apply for this.

Can someone tell me which is the best NIT for computer science?

^^ I think NIT trichy, but you will need a really good rank in AIEEE(3 digit) to get in there.

IIIT Hyderabad, i heard is best for IT / CSE . IIT is of course the top colleges but getting in there is very hard

getting CS in a good NIT will be difficult with this rank, but you can get it in other NITs. i don't know about DCE but you may have chance as you have that quota.

i am expecting 2000-5000. i hope that my rank is good enough(2000-3000) for IIIT-H but i have doubts about it as these rank predictors might have some flaws.

I asked one of my DCE friends and he told me that CS closed at around 12000 to 14000 and IT closed at around 20000 for delhi quota students. Hoping to get at least IT in DCE.

Are there any good colleges for IT (if not CS) which I can get with an AIEEE rank around 12000?

What are any other options which I can choose? I want to study either CS or IT. Please reply.. I am really getting tensed about which college will I get and I think I will be able to relax a little bit only after I get admissions.. hopefully CS or IT.

may be you could get IT in NIT Kurukshetra, not sure Home State Quota's closing rank went to nearly 17000 last year after internal sliding.

got 29000 all india rank (aieee) and 2500 state rank in delhi. Is there any college better than Lovely Professional University in which I can get CS or IT?

IT closes around 12k and CSE/COE at 6-7k at NSIT/DTU

Maybe that is till 4th Counselling , after 8th , it increases significantly.

Also , previous year ranks are usualy lower because there were lesser student intake [ Even if that college does not increase intake , other colleges do and thus Closing Ranks increases ]

Trust me , i didn;t get until 3rd COunselling , and by 8th i could;ve had oterh Stream which i didn;t even consider , but I was happy with IT [ after knwoing what it really is
