What Motherboard I should go for .. Please Help

Hi Friends,

I have a problem.
I have a old PC and now I want to buy a new one.. I was wondering what motherboard, processor and graphics card I should go for.

Old PC configuration:
P4
845 Pro motherboard
NVIDIA CARD
2 IDE Hard disc (120GB & 160GB)
2 Writers(DVD and CD-ROM)

My problem is that now the motherboards come with SATA connections..
I wanted to know any motherboard which best suits my need and which easily allows me to connect the 2 IDE HDD and 2 IDE WRITERS so that I can reuse my peripherals.

I want the 160 GB HDD to be Master HDD and 120GB to be Slave.
also
I want the DVD Writer to be Master and CD Writer to be Slave.

Also a advice for processor and Graphics card would be appreciated.

I thought of a good config PC..
Now question that comes next is
I want to purchase a Cooler Master Elite 331 model PC CASE, and I want to use a iball 400W SMPS..
The PC CASE has a 120mm fan.
Will this SMPS support the 120mm fan in terms of power supply for the fan to work..

and also if I think of adding a Geforce 8500GT graphics card, will I need a seperate power supply for the graphics card?

Dude, i think u never want to reveal ur budget for the items......
BTW dont get iball SMPS if u wanna add a gfx card later...
Next imp thing is,Dont get 8500GT... Its waste of money..
Instead of this go for 8600GT which comes around 3k....Best VFM......

Does the +12V rails supply power to the fan if use Zebronics 500W ?

and If I use a iball SMPS (already have one), from where will the 120mm fan get the input power for it to work?

Dont buy Intel Mobos, unless ur in real shoestring budget

Instead of LG, go for ViewSonic to save some bucks...

Altec Lansing BXR Model 2.1 speakers will be good..(I forgot the model no)

the E8400 is a 3GHz proccy (at stock speed).
E8500 -> 3.16GHz
E8600 -> 3.33GHz

just 4 the info if any1 of ur getting any1 of the above procies plz do make sure that they r of the E0 stepping and not the old C0.

Which 17" or 19" TFT monitors are the best ( w.r.t Performance and life) igroring the price factor.

And can I put a iball 400W SMPS temporatily for a Cooler Master Elite 332 or 331 PC CASE, cause I wanted to buy a Power supply and Graphics card later on, not now.

bro think hard and if you will realize good proccy with ultra low-end mobo is a waste.
Dell 198WFP is good 19 inch monitor.

Hence buyout MSI P35 Neo-F not Neo-F Combo in 4.3-4.5K is better go. Put any gfx card of your wish. Buy a low-end gfx card Asus 8600GT 256 MB DDR3 in 2.8K
If you think its high to spend on the mobo + gfx card then better get E7200 than E8400 to keep the price balance.

But if you think of DG31 chipset mobos then you do not wanna keep your system for very long.

off course SMPS ...its the main source of all the Power supply requirement of ur PC ..except for monitor..
