Exclamation Laptop for 850$.

Hello friends,

I was planning to buy a desktop machine(Core i7), but I cannot wait as a need a "good" PC now,
And since Core i7 will be available for Laptops only in Q3 2009 I cannot wait another year ,

My first query is whether lappys are cheaper in the US than in India, if yes I will tell me uncle who is in the US to buy a laptop from there,

1. Which brand should I go for(best VFM and price for the hardware), and will the warranty be applicable in India?

2. I need a 17" widescreen lappy, display must be really nice, clear and crisp, a GPU with 256MB or 512MB dedicated memory, and more than 2GB of RAM.

3. And C2D Pxxx series beter than C2D Txxx series, in what way is it better? And is the Pxxx series Centrino 2 series?

4. I dont require any OS on it because in the case of Vista extra will be charged for it, however this is not a must.

5. Audio quality must be SUPERB(5.1 ch or 7.1 ch).

6. Must have Wifi, camera, memory card reader(all), bluetooth.

7. The laptop must not get overheated because it will be running for 5 hours or so continously, I will use this lappy just for casual gaming(even lesser than casual gaming), but will use it for rendering and animation.

Thanks.

yeah they would be cheaper in US, but you loose all the standard warranty in India. To avail warranty you will have to go to US.

And you cannot get everything you want.

A good laptop with good GPU would not heat up, you will need additional external cooling. Otherwise not possible.

I generally thought in lappy's there is 2.1 channel in general. Though I think you can also get 5.1.

17 inch laptop with all what you want will be 3.5-4 Kg, man that is not a laptop.
You want a gmaing beast I think.
