Help needed with this "Disk Boot Failure" Error Msg

Hi all,

I got this msg "Disk boot failure" after i replaced my old motherboard with a new gigabyte motherboard. Do i need to install a fresh os or i need configure the bios?
Plz help me to solve this issue

Reconfigure the bios. Specifically, change the boot order.

i have also set the primary boot device as Hard disk. But still the error occurs

may b the hard disk not connected properly
or the hard disk got corrupted

Check in BIOS whether hard disk is detected or not.

first check BIOS if HDD is detected ...if its there then there is no problem with HDD and if u still get the same error message u will need to install the OS again ...cos OS doesn't know ur mobo is changed

I have repaired the XP OS and my system boots but only with the help of OS CD. I tried to boot xp w/o the OS cd but ended with same error msg "DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT A START UP DISK",Also my motherboard takes much time to get past the devices listing (almost 5 mins) and finally it asks "boot from cd:" and then boots up
